Pakistan Muslim League (Z)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Pakistan Muslim League (Z) (Urdu: پاکستان مسلم لیگ ض) was a political party in Pakistan formed in 2002. It is one of the factions of the original Pakistan Muslim League, named after Gen. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, the military dictator of Pakistan from 1978 to 1988. It was founded by his son, Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq, in 2002.
At the 2002 legislative elections, held on 20 October 2002, the party won 0.3 % of the popular vote and 1 out of 272 elected members.
In May 2004, PML (Z) merged with PML (Q) along with other parties to form united PML.[1]
