Pak Ab Sabalan Mineral Water Co. is a privately-owned Iranian producer of bottled water. Incorporated in April 2003, the company employs approximately 200 employees. It is based in Alvares, Ardabil, Iran.

Pak Ab's principle product is “Vata”-brand "still" (non-gaseous) mineral water, obtained from Gurgur spring near Sarein, a few kilometers to the west of Ardabil, Iran. The Gurgur source lies at an altitude of 2,700 m from the sea level. Vata has been registered in the European Union as pure natural water and is classified among relatively light waters
The name of 'Vata' subsumes a multitude of aspects. In the Azeri language, “V” means "and", and so 'Vata' means "and father." But in many languages, like Russian or English, 'Vata' sounds like "water." 'Vata' is also the name of a pre-Islamic divinity of the wind.
Pak Ab, which was newly founded to bottle the mineral water, first installed a single Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottling line rated at 20,800 0.5-liter bottles an hour or 12,000 1.5-liter bottles an hour. Krones, a German company, supplied the entire line on a turnkey basis. To ensure maximized autonomy and independence from delivery times and prices, Pak AB also produces both the preforms and the screw-caps itself. These two production machines, together with the Contiform S8 stretch blow-molding machine, are installed in a separate room, on an elevated level adjacent to the actual bottling line.
The quality of the water was tested by the Fresenius Institute in 2003, and was determined to have the following characteristics: pH 7, Calcium (Ca) 9.8 mg/l, Chloride (Cl−) 0.7 mg/l, Bicarbonate (HCO3) 29 mg/l, Magnesium (Mg) 2.3 mg/l, Nitrate (NO3) 2.3 mg/l, Potassium (K) 1.9 mg/l, Sodium (Na) 4.7 mg/l and Sulfates (SO) 19 mg/l.
The world's strongest man is helping to advertise Vata mineral water. Hossein Reza Zadeh, weight-lifting world champion in 2004, comes from Ardabil.
