Paiva

Paiva is one of the oldest family surnames of Portugal, with ramifications throughout the Portuguese speaking world, namely in Brazil. Paiva was originally a toponym referring to the land ownership of what today is Castelo de Paiva, in northern Portugal. Famous people named Paiva include:
