Paisley RFC is an amateur rugby union club based at the Anchor Recreation Grounds in Paisley. The club is currently in pool 1 of the West League Division 2.

The club is the home of the Scottish Rugby Legend Gavin Newlands, known to his friends as 'porky'. Gavin's on-field exploits were only surpassed by his tremendous appetite for the famous anchor pie. It has been argued by many that if it were not for the kicking of the non-tackling fly half the club would not have achieved the heady heights of West division 2. Several of the clubs senior members have been heard , on many occasion, crediting Gavin with the current league position. Gavin's picture appears regularly in the local Paisley Daily Express and is the all time highest points scorer for PRFC with 83 points in 162 appearances for the club. Upon retiring from all levels of representative rugby, Gavin was asked to chair the SRU's disciplinary panel but refused due to current conflicts of interest.
