The Painted Firetail, Emblema pictum, is a common species of estrildid finch found in Australia. It is also known as the Painted Finch or the Painted Firetail Finch. It is the only species in the genus Emblema.

It has an estimated global extent of occurrence of 1,000,000 km². It is found in semi-desert area, grassland and subtropical (lowland) dry grassland. The status of the species is evaluated as Least Concern.
