Paignton Rugby Football Club
Rugby Football has been played in Paignton since 1873, Paignton Rugby Football Club moved to its present home Queens Park in 1902 and has been played there ever since. Paignton rugby club is affiliated to the Devon RFU
The club has a long history in the town, and has produced players who have gone on to play at County or National Level.
2005/2006 season Paignton is in the Western Counties West League. (relegated to Devon / Cornwall League) 2006/2007 season Paignton Were promoted back to the Western Counties League, and were Rhino - Devon Cup runners up against Torquay RFC, Match played at Queens Park on the 21st April 2007. 2007/2008 Season - Western Counties West. Paignton has a First XV, 2nd XV, 3rd/Vets XV, Ladies XV. As of 2007/08 season, Paignton have a full
The club as of 2007/08 season also has a strong Junior section with teams From Under 7 up to u16, Plus teams for u14 and Under 17 girls. (2005/2006 season). By the 2008/2009 season Paignton will also hope to have a first year colts side.
Rugby is played from September through to the end of April after which Cricket is played at Queens Park.

Devon Senior Cup - 1906 (lost) 12 - 4 in the final against Plymouth. 1931 (won), 6-0 in final against Sidmouth 2007, Runners up in a final against Torquay) 2008, Got to Semi Final.
