Paidi Jairaj

Paidi Jairaj (1909 - 2000) was a renowned film actor, director and producer. He was recipient of Dadasaheb Phalke Award for lifetime achievement.

He was born in Hyderabad on September 28, 1909.

He has acted in about 170 films mostly in Hindi and Urdu, and some Marathi and Gujarati films. He directed few films liked Mohar, Mala, Pratima, Rajghar and Saagar. He produced the film Saagar in 1951.

He had two sons and three daughters. He passed away on August 11, 2000.
