Page One Records

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Page One Records, started in 1966 was the UK vehicle, used by the producer/manager Larry Page, during a successful period as a hitmaker in the 1960s.

It was co-founded by Page and Dick James, [1] and the label released hits from The Troggs, Vanity Fare and Plastic Penny, as well as numerous failed attempts by Page himself to sing his own hit record. In the U.S. the label was distributed by Bell Records. [2]

As the label faded, Page went on to found Penny Farthing Records.
