Paerra, I just wanted to let you know that I added back in the trivia on the Confessions on a Dance Floor page, with a source about the wailing woman. I can see how you might have thought it was a joke, but it wasn't. Best! 68.82.82.248 16:54, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Regarding your comments on my talk page, please reference Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, which states, "NPOV requires views to be represented without bias." Your use of the word "opinion" in the message you left me and the comments on the article's talk page clearly show that bias is in play. I'm not going to argue whether or not the University of Illinois is the most prestigious in the system; that's not the point. The article should give the facts, including the rankings, and let the reader draw his (or her) own conclusion.

Please understand that my edit wasn't an attack. Use of POV words/statements weakens the article. It is very unlikely to become a Good Article, and even less likely to become a Featured Article, with POV present. I removed only one occurance of POV. There are still several present. For the good of Wikipedia, in general, and the article, specifically, I encourage you to remove all POV. A Good or Featured Article is going to promote the school much more than will a fluff piece. Let me know if you have any other concerns. Thanks! →Wordbuilder (talk) 15:13, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Why do you believe the word prestigious should not be included in the into to this article? I know that some think that that's POV, but that's simply nonsense. The word "prestigious" can be used in a POV manner, but the word does have a definition, and U of I's Urbana campus meets that definition, in my opinion.
If I was to say that the position of United States Senator is more prestigious than that of an Illinois State senator, would that be POV? HuskyHuskie (talk) 02:51, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:33, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
