[edit] Tepper School of Business

Thanks for the rating, its good to get a second set of eyes on this thing. You had rated it as B-Class, and I was hoping to get to GA class. Any advice you could give me on making the move would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. PadreNuestro 03:11, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome. I see you have already requested a Peer Review. After that review has ended and applicable comments have been addressed, I recommend that you nominate this for Good Article status. The users whom review those nominations would be able to offer far better recommendations than I. Good luck! --Bossi (talk ;; contribs) 03:47, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

All set. — Deckiller 03:54, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks, yenz

PN, Thanks for all the work on the History of Pittsburgh article. I appreciate your trying to push the boulder up the FAC hill one more time. Let's hope we make it! Admittedly, the prose is still chewy, but it's an encyclopedia article, not a magazine article. The Pittsburgh article in the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica is a little chewy, too, but that's what happen when you pack an article full of facts! In any case, thanks again and see you 'round the 'burgh. Tomcool 02:19, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Heinz School

Well I don't mind doing some work on these articles but I no longer go to CMU, I graduated and live in DC, so I can't take any photographs unfortunetly. I don't know what the rules are, but are we not allowed to put up a picture of, say, Hamburg Hall, off of the CMU site?

[edit] School of Design

Hi. I can understand where the user is coming from with respect to the tags. The first tag is accurate; only two articles link to the article in question, and both of them are related to the school of design. Usually, this implies that a merge into one of the parent articles is necessary, especially since the article is short. Second, the article relies on the school website. Notability needs to be established by finding out if the School of Design was in the news or famous for something; try performing newspaper or magazine searches mentioning the school of design, and using those as sources. If you can't find any newspaper or magazine or even book sources, you might want to merge it into the main article. — Deckiller 21:33, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moving Pages - it's easy and here's how ...

You had asked that I move a page for you ... any editor can do this. Just click the 'move' tab and follow the instructions. The old title will be a redirect to the new title. For more information on this (though it's not necessary to read through voluminous instructions before doing it), see WP:MOVE. If you have problems, let me know. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 23:28, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability - 'Diamond Consultants'

Thanks for adding external references to the talk page of the "Diamond Consultants" article. I've removed the 'concern about notability' template; the next step would be to incorporate the references into the article. Also, the article should to be categorized beyond simply having a stub-template. Regards --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 23:33, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Carnegie Mellon

No problem. It might also be cool to have a section on buildings (with dorms/academic buildings).

[edit] Fair use rationales

The images in question are Image:CarnegieMellonSeal.gif, Image:Tepperlogo.jpg, and Image:Merton Miller.png. The images do not have any fair use rationales at all. Also, I don't think that the picture of Merton Miller should be there as I don't think that fair use would properly convey the use of the image. Once FURs are added to the images, let me know on my talk page and I'll take a look at them. --Nehrams2020 02:50, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, if you look at the licenses for the images, you will see that it requires a FUR. Pretty much any copyrighted image, including logos, has to have one. It gets kind of repetitive after a while. --Nehrams2020 02:58, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:CIT Logo.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:CIT Logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:19, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
