[edit] This article should be a disambiguation page

Padre is a nickname for military chaplains (and priests in general, but we won't go into that). There is already a substantive article on chaplains, and this article gives information on chaplains in the French army, who I'm pretty sure are never called "Padre". I plan to merge any information that isn't already in the Chaplain article into that one, and turn this into a disambiguation page that says "For facts about the Major League Baseball team, see San Diego Padres" along with the information from the first paragraph of this article with a link to the Chaplain article. Thank you CruiserBob, I am sure that is the right way ahead. You will see from the discussion page for Chaplain that it has been proposed to separate the article into two - Chaplain and Chaplain (Military) as the chaplain article is unwieldy, and also skewed by the preponderance of material about military chaplaincy. But it would be cheeky of me to ask you to do that also! Springnuts 08:38, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
If I have the time, I might just do it, but who knows when I'll have the time.CruiserBob 05:08, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
