Padraig Amond (born 15 April 1988) is an Irish football striker, who currently plays for Shamrock Rovers in the Eircom League of Ireland.

Amond joined Shamrock Rovers in 2003 and has since steadily progressed through the schoolboy ranks of the club. He was promoted to the senior squad for the 2006 season, making his debut coming on as a substitute against Athlone Town on 16 March 2006. He made ten appearances, eight from the bench, for the whole season and scored his only goal against Finn Harps in September 2006.
Amond joined Kildare County on season long loan for the 2007 season. He became the first opposition player to score at Athlone Town's new Stadium at Lissywollen in the Eircom League Division One game between Kildare County and Athlone town on the 16th of April 2007. Amond scored twice in what was Kildare County's first victory of the season. He went on to score 5 goals for Kildare before being recalled by Shamrock Rovers's manager Pat Scully[1].
Padraig is also an extremely talented hurler and has represented his native county of Carlow at minor level, starring in their run to the Leinster Final at Gaelic Athletic Association headquarters Croke Park in 2006.
In recognition of his sporting achievements he was awarded the Carlow Sportsperson of the Year Award for soccer.
Scored his first goal of the 2008 season on the 18th of April [2] and followed that up with another three weeks later [3].
