Padhrar

Padhrar is a village and Union Council (an administrative subdivision) of Khushab District located in Punjab, Pakistan[1]. It is part of Khushab tehsil, the village of Padhrar is located at the beginning of the Soon Valley which leads to the mountain peak of Sakesar.

The MNA of NA 59 Mrs. Sumera Maliks husband is also belong to Padhrar and the MNA of NA 60 Mr. Shakir Bashir Awan is also the resident of Padhrar. Shia Muslims are also living in Padhrar.Shia Muslims are about 40% of Padhrar's population. There are some Darbars also located in Padhrar. For quite some time Hazrat Shah Jewna remained in Padhrar. After staying in Padhrar for some time, he left for Jhang. Few well known elders from this village are Mr.Karam Bakhsh Awan (President Tanzeem Awan), Capt. Fateh Khan, Khan Sahib Maula Bakhsh and Malik Shakra Khan (Dhoke Ranjha) grand father of Malik Ghulam Rasool. This village has historical grave yard which nobody knows how old. Padhrar is at the borders of Khushab and Chakwal. The people of this village are known for their bravery and hospitality. It is a beautiful valley and just 17KM west of Kalar Kahar and forty km east of Sakesar. The weather here is very moderate in summer and chilly in winter. People here are mostly farmers, Army personnels and other jobs. These days Coal mining and poultry farming are also very popular. The unemployment is almost 0%.
