Colorines.
Population (2005): 5,495 habitants
Colorines is a population located to the Southeastern of the State of Mexico, Mexico. Near of Valle de Bravo and Santo Tomas de los Platanos.
The livestock farming it´s consider as the first economic activity in the town, in the second place we found the agriculture.
Colorines offers to the visitors, amazing landscapes, cliffs for the sport practice called rappel, trek and ideal places to camp, also offers, public swimming pools where you can enjoy nice moments with your family.
The hydroelectric plants are very important to the country, for example in the town we found the community Ixtapantongo where the first plant hydroelectric was built for the CFE in 1945.
The tradicional food in Colorines are the turkey´s “mole” with black tamales, the tipical food is use principally in weddings, sweet fifteen and familiar events.
The pork meat is another traditional dish that serves with hot sauces, rice and beans.
Information in 1987 said that the production of handicrafts were reduced and only produced in a lower scale onix´s figures, stuffed toys, clothes, tablecloths and napkins.
One of the principal problems for the population of the town is the water, the principals of the town supplies the water during the morning and the afternoon.
