Paco Romane (born February 20th, 1970) is a comedian based in San Francisco after leaving the great midwest.

Romane's sense of humor is based in the Second City sketch comedy tradition. Onstage, his comedy is a mix of absurdisms, characters, story-telling and unique observations.

Paco Romane, is a familiar face to Bay Area fans of improv, sketch comedy and music thanks to his work in some of the region's top performing acts. He is a regular performer of comedy around the country and was recently awarded "Best Comedian" by The SF Bay Guardian.
His true love is comedy. He is a alumni of Killing My Lobster, and is a founding member of, Richter Scale, San Francisco's premier socio-political sketch comedy groups. He hosts The Romane Event, a popular monthly variety/comedy show featuring the Bay Area's top, comedic talents. Paco has acted in many films, plays, sketch comedy shows, podcasts and hosted a many comedy and music shows.
Paco has performed in many comedy festivals, including: The Bay Area Comedy Festival, The SF Sketch Comedy Festival, The Gulf Coast Comedy Festival, The SF Theatre Festival, The Sketchy At Best Festival, The Bruno's Island New Plays Festival, and The SF Fringe Festival.
As a performer he has shared the stage and screen with: Mr T, Sean Penn, Diane Amos, Debbie Durst, Jim Cranna, The Meehan Brothers, Will Franken, Will Durst, Joe Klocek, Kasper Hauser, Joy Gohring, Brian Malow, Tim Lee, Killing My Lobster, and many others.
In addition to his performing credits, Paco is also a writer,director and actor of many short films. He directed, wrote and co-starred in "Salt Quest", that was featured in The 48 Hour Film Festival.
Paco was the general manager, and host of the popular, jazz radio show Birdland for many years on WIDR 89.1 FM in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Paco loves to read and worked in one of San Francisco's best bookstores, The Booksmith.
He is currently working on a one man show about Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle.
Paco is spicy but not hispanic.

The Romane Event is one of the Bay Area's hottest comedy shows. Each month top comedy talent take the stage in an "anything goes and probably will" environment in one of San Francisco's most notorious venues. Many of the Bay Area's top comics have performed in this show, including; Will Durst, The Meehan Brothers, Will Franken, Tim Lee, Joe Klocek, Killing My Lobster, Kurt Weitzman, and many others.

Paco Romane was born in Coldwater, Michigan and received a B.A. in Political Science from Western Michigan University. He is an actor, a voice over actor, multi-instrumentalist, humorist, stand up comic, writer, director, host, and producer.
