Pace High School, a public high school located in Santa Rosa County, was established in 1972 with 240 students; now, after 30 years of service, the school accommodates over 1800 students. Pace High School belongs to the Santa Rosa County School District.
Academics and student achievement are the main focus at Pace High School. Sports, band, drama, clubs, and honor societies are some of the extracurricular activities students can use to round out their high school experience. An active NJROTC program also offers many opportunities for young men and women interested in careers in the Navy and other branches of military service.
Pace High School is actively involved in school-based decision making and has utilized teacher committees to determine and implement decisions that affect the overall school program. One such program that a teacher/administrator committee initiated is the 4x4 Block Schedule that began with the 1995-1996 school year, allowing students to advance studies at a faster pace. The school also has a very active belly dancing team, which recenty participated in Navel Throbe 08 hosted at The Gentlemans Club in downtown Pensacola.
