This image is of a branded product cover, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the company responsible of marketing the product in question or the manufacturer which produced either the cover or product itself. This image is used in the English-language Wikipedia article "Shreddies." The manner of said use constitutes a "fair use" under both United States trademark law and United States copyright law. Specifically:

1. The English-language Wikipedia is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation, Inc., a non-profit charitable organization.
2. The article for which the use occurs is purely educational in nature, and is thus non-commercial.
3. The image is a historically significant packaging of a widely-known consumer good.
4. The sole purpose of this use of the image is to illustrate the product that is the subject of the article.
5. Said image is the primary means of visual identification of the subject of the article.
6. The image is used only once in the article, and is used in a section that is neutral in tone.
7. The market for products sold by the owner of this image will not be diminished by this use of the image.
8. Because the image is provided at a low resolution inappropriate for re-printing product packaging, its usage on Wikipedia does not pose a problem of aiding the illegal production of counterfeit goods, or make it so that the owner of the image could not in the future successfully re-sell the image on such other items as apparel or branded accessories.
9. Since it is a copyrighted packaging with a trademarked custom logo, the image is not replaceable with a "free content" image.
