Pablo Thiam (born January 3, 1974 in Conakry) is a Guinean footballer (defensive midfielder) also holding a German passport.

He grew up as the son of a Guinean diplomat in the former German capital Bonn. He started his football career in MSV Bonn. At the age of 15 he went to 1. FC Köln, for whom he debuted in the Bundesliga in 1994. Via VfB Stuttgart he came to FC Bayern München in 2001, but there he had a hard time getting first-team football. In January 2003 he was transferred to VfL Wolfsburg, where he still plays.

Thiam will end his career at the end of the season 2007–08 and start his new job as assistant coach of VfL Wolfsburg.[1]

Thiam has been capped 25 times and scored two goals for the Guinean national team.
