Pablo Pontons

Pablo Pontons (1606-1670) was a Spanish painter of the Baroque period.
He was born in Valencia. He trained with Pedro Orrente. The Convent of Mercy was adorned with his designs. He painted along with Jacinto Geronimo de Espinosa paintings for the Church of Maria in Morella. He painted scenes from the ‘’life of San Pedro Nolasco’’ for the convent of La Merced in Valencia. He also painted for monastery of La Cartuja del Puche. He was also a reputable painter of portraits.
