Pablo Mills (born May 27, 1984 in Birmingham, England) is an English footballer, currently playing for Rotherham United.
A central defender, Pablo joined Derby after serving as a trainee and he went on to appear in 62 first team games in league and cup for the Rams. He had loan spells at MK Dons and Walsall and joined the Rotherham during the summer, adding strength to the central defence.
He was born and bred in Birmingham and joined the Rams as a 14-year-old, turning professional at 18. In the early stages of his career Pablo attracted interest from the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United but remained at Derby. He played for England at youth levels and is a solid and valuable member of any squad he plays in.
Allegedly, Mills returned to training for the 2007/08 season almost three stone overweight and was therefore loaned out to Crawley Town of the Blue Square Premier League on the 24 August 2007 to regain his fitness. His loan was extended until the end of October, and he scored one goal for Crawley becoming a fans favourite with the Red Devils, largely playing out of his natural position, in the centre of midfield.
Pablo returned to the Millers squad immediately after his loan spell was over, and has started every game since returning, and has been inspirational in his new position of central midfield. With speculation mounting that 'Pabs' was going to leave the Millers, he put pen to paper over a new 2 year deal at Millmoor in May 2008. The Rotherham faithful were delighted with this news.
