Pablo Andrés Contreras Fica (born September 11, 1978 in Santiago de Chile) is a Chilean football (soccer) defender. He currently plays for S.C. Braga in Portugal. Contreras previously played with Celta Vigo in Spain from 2001-07 prior to his move to Braga.
He debuted with Colo-Colo, a Chilean club in first division. He appeared in 36 games and won two championships in the three years he spent with the club.
He then made a move to France to club AS Monaco, playing in 28 games and winning the league championship and Trophée des champions in 2000.
Contreras was also part of the bronze medal winning team in 2000 Sydney games with Chile. He has been a regular with the Chilean national team since his debut on February 17, 1999 against Guatemala, and took part in Copa América 2007.
He also holds a Spanish passport.
