Pab Sungenis
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pab Sungenis (born August 10, 1969 in Vineland, New Jersey ) is an author, cartoonist and a radio DJ/talk show host[1]. He is currently the host of The Pab Sungenis Project syndicated radio show (mostly online and via podcast), and the cartoonist of the daily strip The New Adventures Of Queen Victoria, which is a comic strip that takes advantage of computer graphics to minimize drawing.
His parents were owners of a local radio station, familiarizing him with the medium at a very early age. At 8 years old he broadcasted a local "radio show" on his walkie-talkie. He was also fascinated with cartooning, at one point in his childhood he drew a daily comic strip for his own consumption for over two years, then realized he couldn't draw.
Looking for an alternative place to whet his creative juices, he pursued a career in broadcasting, beginning with the station at St. Bonaventure University while he was a student there. He has DJ'd for various radio stations in New Jersey and Upstate New York, as well as a brief stint with WKTU in New York City.[2] Ironically, his first job on radio was on the Vineland, New Jersey station his family owned right after they sold the station.[3]
In addition to his radio show and comic strip, Pab has written two novels which are in the process of publication, and a play entitled Bearding The Lyons. He lives with his husband (married November 17, 2007), Bryan, and three cats.
