[edit] Summary

Photo by Jeff Swaim, on July 15, 2006, at Skirmish USA's Invasion of Normandy paintball scenario game. Photo depicts scenario players on a mission to earn points for their team.

For this particular scenario game, points were awarded based on how long teams could hold "fuel dumps," which represented more resources available to a team. Props labeled as Fuel Barrels could be carried on or off the field by players, to and from specified fuel dumps on the field, to earn more points.

When using these props, the writers / producers of the scenario would design the flow of the game to provoke firefights. For instance, players on the German team would be given a mission to carry fuel barrels out to a given fuel dump and defend them for a set amount of time. A mission would then be given to the opposing team (the Allies) that would have them searching that area for enemy activity.
