From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Joe Nice is a Baltimore Dubstep DJ. The most famous American DJ playing Dubstep,[1] Nice founded New York's irregular Dub War club night and performs regularly in New York, London (including at scene pillar DMZ),[2][3] and elsewhere.[4] He first heard Dubstep in 2002, at a Baltimore performance by Hatcha,[5] and began playing it in 2003.[4] He has been praised for his charisma[6] and stage presence.[7] In 2005 music journalist Martin Clark also praised him for his access to new dubplates (in contrast to other American Dubstep DJs) and willingness to play tracks by lesser-known producers.[3]
