Thank you for the chance, PB.

Literally 3 minutes after creating the stub I was on trial in the wiki community! So, I am requesting you please delete the "Mike Bailey" page. I am requesting this despite the fact that my credentials are legit, defensible and my intimate knowledge of the major educational software companies would have been valuable inclusions to the wiki-verse. Also, I find talking about myself a waste of time anyway!

Calton's response was particularly vexing. I simply refuse to submit information under threat of deletion by crass and disrespectful representatives of Wikipedia (excluding yourself, of course, this description does not apply to you in the least).

This process was valuable as it forced me to examine my repulsion to the scrutiny of the admins. It made me realize that there is too much emphasis on testing and performance in education rather than learning via experimentation and exploration. I am thinking I may create an online educational software company, something that allows students to learn while experimenting rather than punishing them for not answering in time.

While my current wiki experience has been markedly ego centric, I assure you I am not an ego maniac. I have spent the majority of my career creating things that interested me, not marketing them or pumping them up to be more than what they are. Another lesson learned!

Brother,

We are trying our best to promote this artist. We, the team behind the name, concur that his contribution and his artistic statement is of an invaluable quality and artisitic importance. The fact the the artist remains unpublished as of yet, shouldn't be a factor for rejection. So, if the artist is picked up by a record label of any size and maybe sold a few CDs, then would it be ok or "notable" enough?. This sounds like the requirements to be aired on MTV or in the Grammy's.

The work and mission of a singer songwriter that's organized and commited enough to lead a life dedicated to his artistic statement of multiculturalism, social conscience, and Love should be definitely recognized by a information source such as yours. He is, after all, getting te recognition of every underground community he's touched across the US and South America, and we believe that he should be ignored based on the fact that he hasn't been projected by a conventional organization. The work of independent artists should be looked and considered with the same, if not with more, respect as the represented ones.

Hi Justin, I added the article "Ben Flanagan" and you responded the band or person is not notable enough.

Respectfully, the artist and his band is on Scott Weiland's record label (Softdrive records) and just shot a musical video with acclaimed director Marcos Siega (blink 182, weezer,system of a down, etc.) The band has played three warped tours and toured with Velvet Revolver. there is also another member of said band on wikepedia. the band is in billboard magazine this month (picture included if you don't believe me.)

I feel there are entries for far less "notable" artists on wikipedia. I Hope you reconsider. sincerely, Chesterfieldking

  • WikiProject Christianity Coordinators : The project coordinators are generally responsible for maintaining all of the procedural and administrative aspects of the project, and serve as the designated points-of-contact for procedural issues. They are not, however, endowed with any special executive powers, nor with any authority over article content or editor conduct.The Lead Coordinator bears overall responsibility for coordinating the project; the Assistant Coordinators aid the Lead Coordinator and focus on specific areas that require special attention.
    • The nomination period for coordinators is currently ongoing at Election 2008
    • Nominations for open positions will be open through 23:59 (UTC) on April 30 and project members should vote for any candidates they support by April 11 2008.
    • The election will be conducted using simple approval voting. Any member of the project may support as many of the candidates as they wish. The candidate with the highest number of endorsements will become the Lead Coordinator (provided he or she is willing to assume the post); the next four candidates will become Coordinators.
  • Two new workgroups formed - Indian Christianity and Methodism
  • Portal:Indian Christianity launched.

I've been doing some work at CKB including some new articles and Categorising the Uncategorised articles list. Some of them already had some Categories but were not showing up in said Categories. I fixed this by adding extra ones to those I could, but I'm still left with a few I can't do anything with. Also what should I do with the article - Bible trivia? [edit] Colorado State Patrol article

I am a retired member of the Colorado State Patrol. I do a little consulting work for them from time to time. I was surprised to discover at a recent meeting with some of the command level officers that a wiki page existed for the CSP and most of them knew nothing about it.

I'm new to using wiki though I have read many Wikipedia articles. In looking at the CSP article's history, it looks like you're the originator of the article? I looked through the various contributors on the history page and was mildly surprised to see that apparently none of them are actually members of the agency. The command staff was just assuming one of the troopers had written the article because of its accuracy.

I am curious how you came to do the article in the first place and have a few questions, if you don't mind. Do you have some connection to the CSP? Did the info come from the CSP website or a live source (not interested in names: this isn't an investigation!)? We were surprise to see info as well about the transition to the new .40 cal. sidearms as no one thought that had appeared on the official website yet (although we can't check that because most of it is temporarily offline after being hacked). I'm a little curious how that info made it to Florida.

Nobody was concerned at all about the article being on Wikipedia, but I pointed out to them that since we now know it's there, we probably should have someone checking it daily for inaccuracies or vandalism. Is that a logical assumption?

Let me just state categorically and for the record, this is not any kind of investigation. We were somewhat flattered to see the interest and pleased by the accuracy but just a little curious as to what all was behind it. I would be very interested in your response if you're willing.
