P.A.'s Lounge is a live music venue in Somerville, Massachusetts. In recent years it has become known for appearances by such high-profile performers such as Thurston Moore, Mary Lou Lord, Steven Tyler, and Steve Shelley, Glenn Jones, Eugene Mirman, Stephen Brodsky, Micah Blue Smaldone, Casiotone For the Painfully Alone, Elf Power, Jens Lekman and many others. While many of the acts booked could be described as "indie", the venue is host to a wide variety of performers and bands in an intimate, informal environment.
P.A.'s Lounge is located at 345 Somerville Avenue in Union Square. The P and A stand for Portuguese American as it was originally a club frequented by Portuguese immigrants, then becoming a Portuguese seafood restaurant and finally, (starting in the fall of 2002) a live music venue/bar.
