P-120 Malakhit (Russian: П-120 «Малахит»; English: malachite) is a Russian (former Soviet) medium range cruise missile. Developed by OKB-52 MAP (later NPO Mashinostroyeniye). Its GRAU designation is 4K85. And its NATO reporting name is SS-N-9 Siren [1]. It entered service in the Soviet Navy on March 17, 1972[1] on the Nanuchka-class and Tarantul-class corvettes, and the Charlie-II and Papa class submarines [2]. It has since been superseded by the SS-N-22 Sunburn.
