Périphérique

Périphérique is the French term for a motorway or freeway encircling or orbiting a large city. It is the equivalent of the English term "ring road" or American term "beltway". There are several Boulevards Périphériques in France, the most notable of which is the Boulevard Périphérique in Paris.
