Périgueux Cathedral
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Périgueux Cathedral may refer either to the present Roman Catholic cathedral in the city of Périgueux, France, dedicated to Saint Front (Cathédrale Saint-Front de Périgueux), which has been the cathedral since 1669, or to its predecessor, still in operation as a church, dedicated to Saint Stephen (Cathédrale Saint-Étienne-de-la-Cité de Périgueux).
The cathedral, in either building, was and is the seat of the Bishop of Périgueux, or Bishop of Périgueux and Sarlat, as the diocese has been known since 1854.
The cathedral is part of the World Heritage Sites of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France.
