The oyster mussel, Epioblasma capsaeformis, is a species of freshwater mussel, a bivalve mollusk in the family Unionidae.
It is endemic to the United States. Its natural habitat is rivers. Like many American freshwater mussels, its survival is threatened by habitat loss and pollution.
