Talk:Oxyride battery

They claim it uses oxyhydroxide, has anyone an idea what is it? Samohyl Jan 12:11, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's nothing new. I think it is just the charged state of any run of the mill nickel electrode. It is pretty ubiquitous for rechargables: NiFe, NiCd, NiMH. The halfcell reaction is NiO(OH) + H -> Ni(OH)2. Normally we refer to electrodes of this kind as Nickel Hydroxide, the discharged state. Intangir 00:09, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Better than alkaline?
Are these better than normal alkalines? Or is it more marketing hype? --24.249.108.133 22:53, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
