[edit] History

Oxted Hockey Club was first formed as a ladies club in 1936. This was because hockey was seen as a sport for women. During the war, the club was abandoned until 1948 when it was reformed. Shortly after this, it became both a male and female club

Before the Astroturf Pitch was built at Oxted School in 1998, Oxted's main pitches were the grassy slopes of Bushy Croft in Old Oxted. This ground contained two pitches, a clubhouse with adjoining changing rooms, a bar, and a children's playground. The clubhouse now is the Royal British Legion in Oxted.

In 2003 another former GB player joined Oxted as coach. Duncan Woods. That season was not a great one for Oxted as they narrowly avoided relegation.
