Field Name Usage Description
primary_colour optional Colour to use for the infobox's header and borders. May be a name e.g. "black" or a code e.g. "#000000", but should be dark (since white text will be used). If parameter is omitted, dark blue will be used by default.
name required The college's usual name, in English. e.g. "St Edmund Hall".
picture optional A representative image. Can include size and mouseover text e.g. (for Jesus College)

Field Name Usage Description
full_name optional Formal name of college e.g. on charter. e.g. "The House of Scholars of Merton" instead of "Merton College".
name_Latin optional Name of college in Latin.
motto optional College motto, with a translation if possible.
named_for required Who/what was the college named after?
old_names optional If the college was formerly known by different names, list them here.
established required When was the college founded?
sister_college optional Does the college have a sister college at "the other place" (Cambridge)?
head_name required What title is given to the Head of House (e.g. "Warden", "Master").
head required Name of Head of House, linked to their Wikpedia article where one exists (e.g. "[[Fiona Caldicott]]", "Professor Michael Earl").
JCR president optional Name of JCR president.
undergraduates optional Number of undergraduate students.
MCR president optional Name of MCR president.
GCR president optional Name of GCR president.
HCR president optional Name of HCR president.
graduates optional Number of postgraduate students.
location optional Wikilinked if a relevant article exists (e.g. "[[Turl Street]]").

Field Name Usage Description
latitude optional (required if longitude given) Latitude of college location, in decimal form. Used with longitude to give a location map. Only works for values in range 51.7467 to 51.7660, i.e. the area covered by Image:Oxford map small.svg.
longitude optional (required if latitude given) Longitude of college location, in decimal form. Used with latitude to give a location map. Only works for values in range -1.2751 to -1.2441, i.e. the area covered by Image:Oxford map small.svg.

grace optional The college grace, with an English translation if possible. This item might be better included as a subsection of the main article if the grace is lengthy or there are pre- and postprandial prayers.
shield optional The college coat of arms, e.g.

Could also be included in a subsection of the main article if there is some text to accompany the arms (e.g. discussing how they came to be associated with the college.
