Oxford has some beautiful buildings -- any chance someone living there could put some photos up; even one of Rowan Oak would be nice.

[edit] Johnny Marr's Residence

I know that Modest Mouse recorded their latest album in Oxford with Johnny Marr, but is there any evidence that Marr actually resides there? I'm not saying it's false; it's just that I haven't heard that anywhere before, and I actually do live in Oxford.

  • Johnny Marr does not live in Oxford.

Blake Buck before William Faulkner? For real?

  • I agree that Blake Buck does not belong on this page. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of Oxford residents who are at least as notable as he is. To whoever keeps adding him in, please stop. Dce7 16:55, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Grocery Store with "World-Wide" Fame?

Um.... can this be substantiated? Does this really belong here even if it can be substantiated?

  • Taylor Catfish has appeared on the Food Network several times that I know of and is an amazingly popular place. It's world wide fame can be substantiated by the fact World Leaders/Celebrities/Politicians etc that have visited the University (John McCain, Brad Pitt, Spike Lee, etc) have all eaten there. It's fame is quite far reaching but as for evidence I don't have any on hand, other than the known fact by Oxford residents and the huge world population that has visited the restaurant. I guarantee it can be backed up through magazine articles and television programs as well.

[edit] John Grisham's house and Trivia question

I can't verify this by a source, but John Grisham and his family have not lived in Oxford for more than 5 years now. Also, I have a tough time with what exactly counts as "trivia" here. Could someone point out something in the article that one might consider "trivia"? I thought at first maybe the mention of all the artists & authors that live there, but no, that's relevant to the town's status as a cultural center. 68.56.121.105 01:19, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

John Grisham and his family maintain two primary residences: one in Charlottesville, Virginia, and one in Oxford on Highway 6 South just outside town. Mr. Grisham and his family spend most of their summers and the holidays in Oxford, since both his parents and his wife's parents live in Desoto County nearby. Mr. Grisham's son Ty is currently in his first year of law school at Ole Miss, which is another reason Mr. Grisham and his wife will probably spend more time in Mississippi in the future. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.144.216.201 (talk) 04:16, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] andrew mullins?

Who's andrew mullins, and why is he mentioned under the Education section? Is that vandalism? Jbrnd (talk) 23:19, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
