Portal:Oxfordshire/Nominate/Selected biography
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is the place to nominate biographies for selection on the portal. To nominate an article, simply add it to the bottom of the list below. Note, though, that there are a number of criteria that the article must meet:
- The person must be related to Oxfordshire, usually by birth or by sustained occupation (i.e. more than a third of the person's life). "Oxfordshire" could mean the administrative OR ceremonial county, so we include Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight as Oxfordshire.
- The article must be of reasonable length and quality. This is of course a subjective judgment, but one that must be made. As a guideline:
- The article (as a whole) should not be tagged for cleanup. (Articles with tagged sections may be acceptable)
- No stubs (articles with section stubs may be acceptable)
- The article should include a picture if possible (not a fair use image, we're not allowed to use them on the Portal namespace)
- The article shouldn't already be selected (see Portal:Oxfordshire/Selected biography for a list of biographies that have already been selected)
