Oxfordshire Railway Society

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Oxfordshire Railway Society (ORS) was formed in 1975 and caters for those interested in all aspects of rail transport.

The society meets in Botley, Oxford, on the second Wednesday of each month (except during the summer). Meetings typically include speakers on a range of railway topics.

An annual journal, 81F, is also produced. (81F is named after the Oxfordshire railway shed identification mark in the days of steam.) Each edition contains a variety of railway articles on different topics written by both members and guest writers.
