Oxbow (surfwear)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Oxbow is a French manufacturer of sports clothing and accessories. The company was founded in 1985 in Pont-Audemer in Normandy by the surfer Fabrice Valéri, who had come back from Sri Lanka with an idea for making multi-colored beachwear shorts. Valéri founded the company along with the designer Isabelle Cachot.
The company decided to focus on clothes for 5 sports: surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, snowboarding, and skiing.
The company was bought out by the French sportswear firm Lafuma in 2005.
