Talk:Owen Stanley Range
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Books and arts section of The Economist, March 19th 2005, in the book review about 'The Rattlesnake: A Voyage of Discovert to the Coral Sea' by Jordan Goodman, I read about Captain Owen Stanley : "In 1840, after four gruelling years, he was taken ill and died aged 38".
According to http://libapp.sl.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/spydus/FULL/PM/COMB/2567/423863,2: "[...] Stanley died suddenly in 1850 from an illness contracted while surveying the Louisiade Archipelago."
