[edit] Technology
Overs has been responsible for the development of innovations in the design of grand pianos. Their activities in the field of innovative piano design have resulted in Overs Pianos becoming a member of the Australian Technology Showcase.
Overs has invented a new grand piano action, which was designed by Ron Overs in 1999. The new design of action (which is patented) has the advantage of considerably less friction than other grand piano actions.
In 2003, after a ten year gestation period, Overs developed a structurally and tonally improved soundboard design.
[edit] Recordings
Numerous recordings have been made with Overs pianos by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.[citation needed]
Recordings have been made on the piano owned by the Sydney Conservatorium.[2]
