"Overground" is a song written and recorded by English rock band Siouxsie & the Banshees. It was co-produced with Mike Hedges and included on The Thorn EP. The song originally appeared on the Banshees' debut album The Scream in 1978.
In its original version, "Overground" was presented as a punk rock song which matches the musical style of The Scream. Siouxsie & the Banshees re-recorded the track with elaborate, lush orchestral instrumentation for its inclusion on the four-track The Thorn EP. "Overground" also appears (in its Thorn version) on the Twice Upon a Time: The Singles collection.
"Overground" was released as a single with "Placebo Effect", another track appearing on The Thorn, as its B-side. It peaked at number forty-seven on the UK singles chart.
