[edit] Racist accusations
There should be a paragraph on the accusations of racism that have been made against the book. As for now, the parts on Blixen's relations to the africans are not neutral.

Added WikiNovel box and classified as "start." Good foundation for much expansion. In the right hands and given the subject matter, this has potential to be an FA. Lots of source material out there. M. Buenviaje 03:44, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Split from Out of Africa (film) on 22 Oct 2006.
reclassed as B as this has plenty of material to warrant it. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 07:49, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Another "Out of Africa"
Another meaning of the phrase "Out of Africa" concerns the migration of early humans from their evolutionary "home" in Africa to Europe, Asia, Australasia and N. and S. America. The phrase is used by anthropologists in that sense and it is a very important phase in the evolution of humans. Unfortunately, I do not have enough knowledge to write an article (I came across the the absense of it when searching the Internet for "Out of Africa"!) At the very least I suggest that a note be added to mention this other meaning. (I have just seen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out_of_Africa_theory Perhaps a link to that would suffice.80.229.250.120 23:05, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Steve Kirkby.
[edit] Confused about the language
Could someone be so kind as to clarify what the original language in which it was published is? As things are now, "Danish, English" is not very clear information... Was it published first in Danish and then translated in English by the author, or is the book actually written in both languages? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amateria (talk • contribs) 19:49, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Wiki out of africa random house.jpg
Image:Wiki out of africa random house.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
