Outwrites

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

OUTwrites (formerly Toronto-based Queer Writing Group) is defined as a dynamic writing group that exists to foster and promote a queer-positive artistic environment from novelists and poets to songwriters and playwrights. It is an ethnically and sexually diverse conglomeration of writers, based in Toronto.

OUTwrites began under this name in September 2003 as a sexually diverse writing group where writers came together to share ideas about each other's works. It was formerly known as Toronto's Queer Writing Group and for at least ten years prior to OUTwrites, they had existed in one form or another. From amateur to pro, they are open to all.
