Outerlight is a Scottish games developer based in Edinburgh, Scotland, founded in 2002, the office is in Leith.
Outerlight's first major project was The Ship, a multiplayer FPS set aboard a 1920s cruise ship. The game was released on Steam in July 2006 for the PC. The Ship met with a favourable critical reception scoring an average of 76% according to Metacritic.
In June 2004 Outerlight released a Half-Life mod which approximated the gameplay of the retail version of The Ship.
