OutburstUK Black LGBT Pride Festival [1] is the name of the black lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender registered Community Interest Organization which arranges events for the black LGBT community in London, England, most notably the annual black gay pride festival which is held in [[2]]July/August. The next festival will be held on Saturday 9 August 2008.
OutburstUK Black Pride Festival is a part of the OutburstUK Organization, a Community Interest Company of which the festival is just one of the events they organize. The organization is run by volunteers (including the board of directors) with some paid consultant help.
Outburst UK is sometimes refered to as Outburst without the ending UK.

The OutburstUK Black Pride Festival is a celebration of the achievements of the BME community in England. The festival is an inclusive event regardless of race, nationality, age, gender or orientation. We promote equality and diversity, and advances education to eliminate discrimination against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community. We raise awareness of these issues by facilitating and promoting a series of events throughout the year and work closely with the wider community in fostering good relations.
We are a grassroots organization dedicated to efforts that nurture pride and unity within the black LGBT community in the UK, and to provide a happy, safe and supportive health focused environment.
We aim to build a strong community through communication, transparency, accountability, positive visibility, and educational opportunities while facilitating and fostering relationships within the wider community.

Four of the currently serving directors of the board of Outburst UK were also co-founders of another organization that created the first ever black pride festival to be held in the UK. These members resigned from that organization and founded Outburst UK. The festival is just one area of their work that involves the community.
[edit] The Pride Festival
For one day, usually on a Saturday and between midday and 10pm the festival kicks off with hundreds of people taking part. Everyone gives their time and efforts free, including the performers who are drawn from within the LGBT community as well as well-known artistes from the mainstream. These includes singers, rappers, dancers, fashion designers and tv and radio personalities.
