"Out of Time" is a song by The Rolling Stones, first released on their 1966 album Aftermath (UK version). An edited version was released in the US i 1967 on the album Flowers.
It was covered by English solo singer Chris Farlowe. The single, produced by Mick Jagger, peaked at number one in the UK singles chart on July 28, 1966 and stayed at the top for one week.[1]

The song was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Mick Jagger produced a version for Chris Farlowe, a fellow Immediate artist.[2] It is distinctively known for its different versions. The first version appeared on the UK version of 1966's Aftermath. The song was 5:37 long. Then it appeared in the US on 1967's Flowers as a shorter version. It then appeared on the 1975 ABKCO compilation album Metamorphosis. This version was, in fact, the backing track from the Chris Farlowe version, only with a Mick Jagger lead vocal. It was also released as a single, reaching #45 in the UK.

The song was also covered by the Welsh rock band Manic Street Preachers (appearing on their B-sides and covers album Lipstick Traces and the charity album NME In Association With War Child Presents 1 Love) as well as by The Ramones on Acid Eaters, and by Jimmy Barnes and Tim Rogers in 2005.
