[edit] Chicago shrine
The original image was burned but the second was spared. St. Hedwig Church's an hour and a half basement fire (April 9, 2008, underneath the altar) burned a 15 feet by 3 feet hole, but there were no injuries.[1] The fire also charred the orignal image of the Chicago shrine of Our Lady of Manaoag, but a second image which was miraculously spared. The original statue was first brought to Chicago 17 years ago.[2] --Florentino floro (talk) 06:48, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
