Our Lady of Salambao
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Our Lady of Salambao is the patron saint of Obando, Bulacan, near Manila in the Philippines. She is also the saint to whom fishermen pray for a bountiful catch, deriving her name from an image of the Immaculate Conception found by the river by a fisherman using a salambao net.
Feast days are celebrated in Obando on May 17, 18 & 19 for Our Lady of Salambao and two other patron saints: St. Pascal Baylon and Saint Claire. The celebrations for all three are held at Obando Church, San Pascual de Baylon Parish Church, Nuestra SeƱora De Salambao in Pag-asa, Obando, Bulacan.
