Established in 1962, with a staff of one, a Sister of Mercy, and thirty-two Kindergarten children. The sister travelled daily from the convent at Pymble. Each year the school grew by one class until 1966 when it catered for children from Kindergarten to Year 4. The first lay Principal was appointed in 1978 and the school was then fully staffed by lay teachers. In 1979 the school was extended to cater for children in Year 5, and in 1980, Year 6
