Our Dancing Daughters is a 1928 American drama film. It depicts the "loosening of youth morals" that took place during the 1920s.
[edit] Plot
The story begins with Diana Medford, who is outwardly the hit of the party but inwardly virtuous and idealistic. Her friend Ann is thoroughly selfish and amoral - a young woman who is interested in young men simply for their money. Both are attracted to Ben Blaine, soon-to-be millionaire. He takes Diana's flirtatious behavior with other boys as a sign of disinterest in him and marries Ann, which leads to Diana being distraught about Ben and Ann's marriage for a while. Later in the film, Diana is holding a farewell party, and Ann finds out about this, and hopes to attend with her lover, Freddie. She gets into an argument with Ben, who does not want for her to go, and attends anyway, though Ben also makes it his business to go behind Ann's back. It is then that Ben and Diana begin to realize their true love for each other. Ann finds out and later throws a drunken fit. Diana and Ben, tearfully, part from each other. The two later plan a new life for each other after a drunken Ann falls down the stairs to her death.
