Otukpo is the capital of an Igboid tribe in Nigeria called the Idoma. It is also the zonal capital of zone c in Benue State. The Idoma are very peaceful people. They currently fighting for their own state which will be called Apa State.

The Otukpo have many leaders who are making headway in developing the new state. One is Senator David Mark who is now the current senate president of the federation.
